MetalSwap Wins Prestigious Optimism Growth Experiment Cycle 11 Grant - A New Chapter Begins
After much anticipation, the secret behind the cryptic teaser "02 05 2023" with MetalSwap's logo painted red has finally been revealed: Today, 2 of May 2023, we are thrilled to announce that MetalSwap has officially won the Optimism "Growth Experiment - Cycle 11" Grant!
A Milestone Achievement
This accomplishment means that the Optimism team has ranked MetalSwap as one of the most suitable projects to receive their incentives in OP token. We are particularly ecstatic because our project was selected within the top 14 projects in the Optimism Grant's "Growth Experiments" category during Cycle 11.
This recognition is proof of the hard work and dedication of MetalSwap's team; we couldn't be prouder!
Incentivizing the Future
With this Grant, we have the opportunity to distribute a total of 30,000 OP to users of MetalSwap’s dApp as an incentive to use the Hedging Swap tool, for the first time ever on a blockchain other than Ethereum. These tokens will be distributed if Metalswap's DAO decides to take the Hedging Swap tool to the Optimism network. We will receive the whole Grant OP token amount based on some critical milestones we shared with the Grants Council Team. This initiative will provide a significant boost to both communities and encourage new users to experience our innovative solutions.

As evidenced by past analyses, major projects such as Synthetix, Velodrome, Uniswap, Aave, and Beefy Finance have been selected for these programs. We are honored to be in touch with such an esteemed company and look forward to contributing together to the ongoing growth and development of the whole DeFi ecosystem.
Upcoming Developments
As a necessary condition to be able to distribute the grant received, MetalSwap’s Foundation will draft a proposal to integrate on Optimism’s ecosystem the Hedging Swap instrument and its XMT token, highlighting the advantages of doing so and deciding some numbers.
Everybody will be invited to MetalSwap's Governance Forum to take part of the conversation and fine-tune the MIP Draft.
